Food Tech-2019

Food is an essential pre-requisite of Nutrition. Food Technology is recognized as application of food science to selection, preservation, processing, packaging, distribution & use of safe, nutritious & wholesome food. Technologies discussed are related to food storage, refrigeration, frozen foods, milling and baking, canning, pickling, extrusion processes, fermentation and food ingredients such as fruits and vegetables, animal products, fat and oils, canned products, and food additives.

One of the major applications of biotechnology, modern bioprocess technology is an extension of ancient techniques for developing useful products by taking advantage of natural biological activities such as production of enzymes, used in food processing and waste management and antibiotics. And widely used in several fields of commercial biotechnology.

Food Tech-2019 brings together multiple scientific disciplines, incorporating concepts from fields such as chemistry, physics, microbiology, biochemistry, concepts from food engineering.
